Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), also known as Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, is a devastatingly effective ground fighting style incorporating the takedowns of Judo and Wrestling with the ground techniques that the Gracie family made famous in the UFC or Ultimate Fighting Championships TM. You will learn the techniques that allow a smaller and/or weaker individual to utilize superior positioning, angles and leverage to defend against, control or defeat an opponent in self-defense or sport scenarios. We offer traditional Gi and No-Gi sessions depending on your training goals.

Kids Martial Arts

Our kids’ curriculum is a true self-defense training experience combining the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Judo and Wrestling. To ensure proficiency and safety, our curriculum is designed to include the submissions aspect of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu while limiting the extent of practical application to only during “one on one” supervision. Children are also taught the knowledge and responsibility of when it is appropriate to execute those techniques (self-defense or competition against a knowledgeable opponent) and when to release the techniques. We include fitness and agility exercises to help support a healthy lifestyle and physical attributes for the martial arts.

Self Defense

Our self defense program focuses on fundamental techniques in unarmed non-contact and contact ranges. We utilize a blend of situational awareness for avoidance, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Boxing, Muay Thai and Krav Maga techniques to provide a no nonsense gross motor reliant skillset to the practitioner. The curriculum is selected for the most typically encountered scenarios requiring hard skills, and for a higher likelihood of success when applied on demanded.
